Das ungarische Verfassungsgericht ist das mächtigste Verfassungsgericht, das rumänische dagegen eines der schwächeren Verfassungsgerichte in Mittel- und Osteuropa. Die Untersuchung zeigt, wie die Verfassungsgerichtsbarkeit, das herausragende verfassungsrechtliche Phänomen der letzten Hälfte des vergangenen Jahrhunderts in Europa, in den Ländern des ehemaligen Ostblocks ihren Niederschlag gefunden hat. Die Errichtung einer Verfassungsgerichtsbarkeit und die Rechtsprechung dieser Verfassungsgerichte ist das Ergebnis von Rechtsvergleichung und Rechtsübernahme.
